Solving Formstack to Google Sheets Issue on Make.com
Hey there, fellow Make.com users! I recently encountered a problem while working on a scenario to add a row in a Google Sheet as soon as a Formstack is answered. I thought I'd share my experience and solution with you all, in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
The Problem
I wanted to capture only three fields from the Formstack, including the user's email that is entered in a field during the Formstack. However, when I checked the Google Sheet, the email field was missing. I double-checked each element, but the email was nowhere to be found.
The Solution
After some trial and error, I found a solution that worked for me. I manually mapped the email field, and voila, it worked! The email field was now appearing in the Google Sheet as expected.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you're facing a similar issue, here are a few tips that might help:
- Double-check your field mapping. Make sure you've correctly mapped all the fields you want to capture.
- Try mapping the fields manually. This worked for me, and it might work for you too.
- Don't forget to test your scenario after making any changes. This will help you quickly identify if your solution is working or not.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while it can be frustrating when things don't work as expected, sometimes the solution can be as simple as manually mapping a field. I hope my experience can help others who might be facing the same or similar issues. Remember, the Make.com community is here to help each other out. Happy making!
