Troubleshooting Make Automation for Social Media Posts

Problem: Issues with LinkedIn Photo Post and Facebook Post on Make

Hello, Make community. I have recently started using Make to automate my social media posts for my new business and future businesses. I am running into a few issues though…

#1 - I am trying to generate an image using openAI module but when I do so, I cannot get a LinkedIn photo post to work. Has anyone else had this problem and knows potentially what could be going wrong?

#2 - I keep getting this error when trying to do a Facebook post. Facebook posting was working and then it just stopped, I am not sure what has changed.

Solution: Using Download Photo from URL

Looks like you need to use “Download photo from URL” for LinkedIn photo post. This should solve the problem.

For generating better-looking pictures, I wouldn’t trust the image generator with text or lines. Try simpler concepts like scenery, single objects. If you want to place your logo or own text, I suggest using something like Google Slides with your text already placed, Upload an Image to a presentation, and Get a Page/Thumbnail.

Troubleshooting Tips

Make sure to check the module fields and filters in question. You can also export the blueprint file to allow others to replicate the issue. At the bottom of the scenario editor, you can click on the three dots to find the Export Blueprint menu item.

Conclusion

Using Make to automate your social media posts can be a great way to save time and effort. However, it's important to understand how to properly use the features and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Remember, the Make community is always here to help!
